Popeska - Bro

Hello there people, I've been quite busy lately which you probably noticed due to the lack of new articles. I will try to be more active now at least until Christmas, when I think I'm gonna have a few days of vacation from everything. Then of course back to business after all the celebrations.

Every time Ralf from Atlanta, meaning Popeska, releases something, it means a sure article for me. The goal with this blog is to publish just the best of the best. So far I've been running this blog for a month and the artist I posted most about must be Popeska. The so far unsigned Electro / Dubstep producer keeps surprising with new releases all the time. What I like about him is that he's experimenting with the music, but you can always hear that it's Popeska. I think each of his releases has its own charm.

This time he has a new song called Bro. It's a calm track with some nice drops. I won't call it dubstep even though it is. Popeska prefers to call this Brostep.

Kill The Noise with new multi track EP

I already expressed my love for Kill The Noise earlier on ElectroCloud. The young producer have been releasing remixes after remixes on his SoundCloud. All are truly pure quality. He is currently sharing the stage with another great producer, maybe the most succesful right now, Skrillex. It is also under his label he's been working lately. Kill The Noise is the Dubstep producer that always seem to succeed with whatever he releases.

Yesterday he released a pretty awaited & serious EP with 6 different originals. All the songs except one is instrumental with samples. The last one have vocals from Emily Hudson. The OWSLA released EP also contains 4 remixes of the tracks by very interesting DJ acts such as Dillion Francis, Alvin Risk, Brown & Gammon and maybe the hottest right now, KOAN Sound. Some of the tracks was already released or previewed before.

It is really my recommendation that you go buy this EP, because you won't become disappointed. Anyone who doubt that and wants to be sure about the quality could take a listen on a few of the great tracks included.

Here are the three steps you need to take before you buy the EP:

1. This is maybe the best dubstep track on the Kill Kill Kill EP: Deal With It. Listen to it!

2. Here's a preview of the remix same track by KOAN Sound!

3. One more before heading to the store. There is more than just dubstep on the EP. This is a great Electro House track called She Likes to Party.

Now who could say this EP isn't worth a good place in the music library! Kill Kill Kill truly kills the noise with a better one!

Set Me Free Remixes

While I'm at it with dubstep & electro remixes I could maybe also post something about another new release.

It's the relatively new single Set Me Free by Rabbit Killer, Farleon & Xangaii that will be out soon as a digital release together with a couple of other versions of the song. Except the Original there is remixes by dubstep artist Calvertron, electro house artists FTampa & Alex Kidd and drum & bass act Callum B. We can already listen to some previews of the tracks on SoundCloud.

Scroll down, play, listen and tell me what you think about the remixes. Which one is your favorite?

New F.O.O.L Preview

The interesting swedish Electro duo F.O.O.L (Fuck Our Ordinary Lives) collected 500 likes on Facebook yesterday before they released a preview of their new track Dark Side.

What we learn from the preview is that the song starts with some synths in the build up. Before dropping into an electro banger, we hear the Star Wars character Darth Vader's quote "You don't know the power of the dark side".

F.O.O.L have been very productive this year. I suggest a visit to their SoundCloud for more good Electro beats.

Now listen to F.O.O.L - Dark Side (preview):

Deadmau5 remixed by Special Features

You have to be very brave to mix music that is already considered to be complete. Well, that is something that the still pretty unknown House music producer Special Features dared to do with Deadmau5's masterpiece Strobe. Final result by the London DJ came out unbelievably good. Close to perfect.

Strobe (Special Features Remix) - Deadmau5 by specialfeatures

If you can't get enough of Special Features, please visit his Facebook, where you can follow him. Visit his SoundCloud page to hear both original mixes and more remixes!

Here's the Deadmau5 original full length album version for you to compare the remix with:

Popeska Starts Another Party!

I earlier posted a track by this Atlanta located producer named Popeska. I also told you that he is releasing a lot of stuff, and that he is unsigned. Well, now he released another track called Let's Have A Party, that is really original. It has clear dubstep influences and it is a great party track. I can't really see why he isn't signed yet.

But maybe we just have to stop the whining about signings now, and be happy as long as he releases quality music for free!

Find out more about him here: SoundCloud & Facebook

Somebody could become rich by signing him right?

Duck Sauce – Big Bad Wolf (Dada Life Remix)

Just a few days ago the swedish Electro House duo Dada Life teased us with a 25 second preview of their new remix on Duck Sauce-hit Big Bad Wolf. My reaction to the track then was about "Wow, this is gonna be big".

Duck Sauce – Big Bad Wolf (Dada Life Remix) (Preview):

Yesterday we could see the track being spread to random places on the internet. And well, the final result is pure quality (
as usual when Dada do something). In the preview we already learned that the drop was going to be a big one (and of course that seems to be the most important in electro music). What really impressed me a little extra this time was the mystical, but yet peaceful part before the drop. It really worked well. It's a shame though that they didn't release the remix in time for the Halloween weekend. You'll understand when you hear it!

Turn on the Radio and Clap Your Hands!

Utku S. is constantly releasing new music for the Electro House crowd. In the last 12 months he released about 30 tracks on SoundCloud. This is of course both own tracks and remixes.

The DJ and sound producer located in Istanbul, Turkey surprised us yesterday, by uploading two previews of new tracks that will be released in a few days on Tapestop Music (Beatport). It's Turn on the Radio and Clap Your Hands!

As usual there is a lot of interesting new sounds in Utku S. productions. Uplifting melodies, dubstep influences, clean base sounds and some distorted guitar riffs every now and then.

I prefer to listen to the latest preview he released. But if you are interested in the other new stuff, please go check out his SoundCloud profile! YAYAY!

New Music Released by King Kornelius

I think I have made this blog into an addiction. Music is something I live for. And I am really not so surprised that I'm making my 4th post just in 2 days.

King Kornelius is to me still a rather unknown Electro House DJ and producer. I've only heard Milk & Cookies that he produced with the American Alex Kidd and The Bully with JELO

What I found out about him is that he is Canadian and makes really good music. On his Facebook page I also found out that his name is actually Neil Hatherall AND he is a normal man (so a bit of a disappointment there for all you people who really thought he was a king)!

Anyway, I think you should check out his latest hit Off with his Head which was officially released on Beatport only 2 days ago, and labled Exclusive!

If you like this, BUY IT. But until then, I embedded this Youtube video for you all to enjoy!

If you can't get enough of King Kornelius after listening to this! Please visit his SoundCloud profile, where you will find more tracks, remixes and bootlegs. For example this remix!

Own Productions Released by Geometry

I happened to stumble upon an interesting French electro-duo with potential, when I was checking some random music sources. Geometry have been around last couple of months releasing remixes and bootlegs on tracks by artists such as Dada Life & You Killing Me.

Last month they have released two own productions on SoundCloud, and it seems very promising.

First they released Triggernometry which is good. But in my opinion the latest track, named simply Lou, is one step ahead.

Let's hope we will see more from Geometry in the future! I'll be wishing them good luck!

Popeska Impresses

So here we go with the first post about new music on this blog.

Today I found a really interesting artist that I think we all should have a look at. It's the unsigned Atlanta located Popeska who seem to be publishing new tracks every third or so day. The 18-year old producer have really found a good sound in his Electro / Dubstep influenced tracks. I have to say that quality is improving for every single track he's releasing. And it is my guess that Popeska will become a returning name in our ears.

This track was released just 8 hours ago. There is something in this music that just makes me wanna Dance. I wonder why? And yeah, the drop is amazing with quality bass sound.

Also have a look at his other tracks on SoundCloud. They are all free to download (so far)!

So now that you heard. How many days do you think it is before Skrillex signs Popeska?

Hello World!

So I guess I should point out now, before anything, that I am totally new to the world of blogging. It's like creating a homepage for the first time. Only that now i guess the content is more important than ever.

I will start by telling you, potential reader, about who I am.

My name is Robin and I live in a small town called Vasa, in the land of the thousand lakes, Finland. I've just passed the age of halfway-to-50, and realized that studies should be finished by now. Therefore I took a small break from my daily work in the boat business and continued my ongoing studies that SHOULD be finished by the fall of 2012. This also explains why I have the time over to work on a blog (because study life in Finland isn't always as effective as it should be)..

This blog which was named Electro Cloud will be featuring mainly posts about new electronic music. What other Eastern Eggs this page will contain is still a mystery. To be honest. I haven't decided yet how serious this blog is going to be. But I guess time will tell. Maybe one of the charming things about blogging is that you really don't know what the future will hold.

The story about my continuous need of electronic music will be published later.

I will post something that will summarize quite good what type of music this blog is going to be about. It is a mix of great music I put together last month (September):
